Care:
- minimal handling: calm, gentle handling of the infant
- Nasal toilet with NaCl 0.9% (Naaprep) / decongestant nasal drops if required (Nasivin 0.01%)

- More frequent, small (breastfeeding) meals

Lavender chest compress
Material:
- Oleum aethereum lavendulae 10%
- Substance cloth (absorbent cotton cloth)
- a piece of wool, scarf or blanket
- Bed bottle
- Plastic bag
Instructions:
- Drizzle 2-5 drops of lavender oil onto a cloth handkerchief or cotton cloth
- Place the substance cloth in a plastic bag and preheat for 2 minutes between a folded hot water bottle
- Remove the bed bottle, take the substance cloth out of the bag and place it on the chest
- Then place a piece of wool, scarf or blanket over it
- Allow the wrap to work for at least 20 minutes
- Apply 2x/day
